Miriam Dalli Appointed Head Of Labour’s EU Delegation

MEP Miriam Dalli, who received a mammoth 63,438 first preference votes in last weekend’s election, has been chosen as the head of the Labour Party’s EU delegation.

The decision was met with unanimous approval from the other PL MEPs Alfred Sant, Alex Agius Saliba, and Josianne Cutajar.

“Our country has moved forward, however, we must now use the trust the public gave us to achieve even more,” Dalli said

Dalli is well regarded after spearheading legislation on CO2 emissions, regularly featuring in lists concerning the most influential and best-acheiving MEPs.

Should Prime Minister Joseph Muscat fulfil his pledge and step down before 2020, Dalli would certainly be a front runner for the post.
