The Miss Universe international beauty pageant competition has just announced that it is going to start accepting the participation of mothers and married women.
The local announcement then came from Alan J Darmanin, director of Miss Universe Malta, who took to social media to announce the news.
“As of the 72nd edition, Miss Universe will start accepting women who are or have been married, as well as women who have children,” Darmanin said.
“This new rule opens so many new doors of opportunity for all those women who gave up on their dream of participating at Miss Universe because of the previous regulations.”
“It is with great pleasure to announce that as from the upcoming Miss Universe Malta competition, these rules will also be implemented into our National Selection.”
“This will thus allow women who are or have been married and women with children to participate in the hopes of becoming the new Miss Universe Malta 2023!”
