Mosta Legacy Restaurant The Lord Nelson ‘Temporarily Closed’ Since April Due To Staff Shortage

A renowned restaurant operating in Mosta for over a quarter of a century has been temporarily closed for months due to seasonality fluctuations and a staff shortage.

The Lord Nelson, a former wine bar and tobacconist converted into a beautiful restaurant just a stone’s throw away from the Mosta Rotunda, has developed a reputation for high end cuisine in a quaint yet elevated traditional Maltese setting.

Having been open since 1996, it even garnered a nod from Michelin in 2020 for its dedication to high quality. However, regular diners have been wondering whether they’ll be seeing the famous blue doors opening after the place has been shuttered since April.
