Mosta Priest: You Risk Your Children’s Souls By Letting Them Dress Up For Halloween

A prominent Mosta priest has sounded a warning for parents who plan to let their children dress up for Halloween.

Fr David Muscat, who recently saw hate speech charges against him dropped in court, has warned that parents will be letting the devil into their children’s lives – indeed, souls – by letting them dress up for the ghoulish holiday.

“Don’t roll out the carpet for the long-tailed one when you crack open the door to the souls of your children, as he’ll cause chaos and you’ll regret it for the rest of your life,” Muscat said in a social media post published on Halloween.

He shared an image of children dressed as Biblical figure – at least, the positive ones – alongside his warning.

Scores of people commented, agreeing with the priest, with one even thanking him for fighting against “paganism”.

This isn’t the first time a prominent voice in society tried to warn us about Halloween – a former President’s husband had sounded the alarm on the “satanic” festa that Halloween really is.
