A motorcycle passenger is at risk of dying following a collision in Siġġiewi.

In a statement, police said that the accident happened at around 1pm along Triq Blat il-Qamar.

The motorcycle, driven by a 27-year-old Czech national, collided with a Toyota Hilux driven by a 46-year-old from Mosta. The motorcycle spun out of control after the crash with both driver and passenger being flung from the vehicle.

The 26-year-old female passenger on the motorcycle was seriously injured in the crash while the driver’s condition is currently pending. 

A magisterial inquiry has been opened and a police investigation is underway.
