A motorcyclist is at risk of dying after being involved in a traffic accident in Ħal Għaxaq.

Police told Lovin Malta that they were informed of a traffic incident in Dawret Ħal Għaxaq, Ħal Għaxaq, this afternoon at around 1pm.

After rushing to the scene, preliminary investigations revealed that a collision had occurred between a Honda motorcycle driven by a 79-year-old man residing in Ħal Għaxaq and a Mazda Demio car driven by a 41-year-old woman residing in Ħal Għaxaq.

Medical staff and an ambulance were called to the scene, and the driver of the motorcycle was transported to Mater Dei Hospital for necessary treatment, where he was certified to have sustained serious injuries.

The case was reported to Magistrate Dr. Victor Axiak, who ordered an inquiry, while police investigations are still ongoing.
