A motorcyclist is at risk of dying after being injured in a traffic accident in Għajnsielem, Gozo.

The accident occurred yesterday at 1.15pm in Triq l-Imġarr.

Initial reports revealed the accident took place between a Volkswagen Golf driven by a 33-year-old Albanian living in Munxar and the victim, who is 48 years old from Fontana, was driving a Suzuki motorcycle.

The motorcyclist received medical assistance and was transported to Gozo General Hospital where it was confirmed that he had sustained serious injuries.

Magistrate Brigette Sultana is leading an inquiry while police investigations are ongoing.
