Motorcyclist Dies After Losing Control Of Vehicle In Pietà
A motorcyclist died after losing control of his vehicle in Triq il Marina, Pietà, yesterday evening.
Preliminary investigations found that a 58-year-old man from Żejtun, who was riding a Honda motorcycle, lost control, hit a curb, and fell.
He was assisted by a medical team and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, but unfortunately, he was certified dead shortly afterwards.
Sunday saw an unusually high number of road fatalities, with three people losing their lives. One incident occurred in Fgura, where a 71-year-old woman died following a collision. Another took place in Valletta, where a woman was fatally run over while crossing the road.
A magisterial inquiry is underway.
