A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital following an accident along the Marsa-Hamrun bypass.

Police confirmed that the accident happened at roughly 2pm. However, the driver’s condition is as yet unknown.

Traffic has already begun piling up in the congestion-heavy area and motorists are urged to avoid the area for the time being. The traffic is in the direction of Marsa.

Police officers are currently on the scene helping divert traffic.
