A motorcyclist is in danger of losing his life after a collision along Malta’s coast road.

The man, a Hungarian national aged 43, was driving his Suzuki Hayabuza, along the stretch of tarmac when he lost control and skidded, colliding with the barriers.

The incident took place at around 11:15 am. Ambulance services and police officers were immediately on the scene and rushed the man to the hospital.

The man’s current condition is unknown but he is reported to have suffered very serious injuries.

A magisterial inquiry is underway.
