MPs Attended Cocaine-Fuelled Sex Parties Hosted By Colombian Who Boasted Of Corrupt Identity Malta Contacts, Azzopardi Alleges
Lawyer and former PN MP Jason Azzopardi has requested a magisterial inquiry into an alleged racket at Identità (previously Identity Malta), with stunning allegations.
Azzopardi has warned that thousands of Maltese ID cards were issued to third-country nationals on the basis of falsified documents, allowing their holders to travel freely within the Schengen Area. He warned that this racket started in 2015 and involved bribery to Identità officials, amounting to millions of euro over a span of years.
He said a Maltese man informed him that he used to attend drug-fuelled sex parties at a villa in Wardija and an apartment in Mellieħa. These parties were allegedly organised by a Colombian woman called Rosario, who would provide guests with cocaine and Colombian prostitutes.
“Rosario would boast about how easy it was for her to obtain work permits and freedom of movement for her Colombian prostitutes thanks to her corrupt contacts within Identity Malta, along with government officials who were paid large sums of money to serve her. They were paid by being allowed to attend these parties for free.”
He said that MPs from both sides of the House, a government minister, doctors, lawyers and government officials all attended these parties.
Azzopardi warned that the police and Identità have been aware of this racket since November 2022 but didn’t request a magisterial inquiry to preserve the evidence and seize the electronic devices of all those involved.
“I have asked the magistrate to open an inquiry into criminal association, organised crime, the falsification of documents, false declarations to public authorities, computer misuse, money laundering and bribery. Now ask Angelo Gafa why he didn’t request a magisterial inquiry when the police have known about this racket for over a year and a half.”
