‘My Heart, My Heart’: Final Words Of Marsa Stabbing Victim Revealed In Court
Some of the final words of an Egyptian man who died after being stabbed in Marsa have been revealed in court.
“My heart, my heart,” the victim reportedly said moments after being allegedly stabbed by Al Mahy Ezzo Saed, a Sudanese national.
In today’s sitting, Inspector Sean Pawney took to the stand to detail his account of the investigation. He revealed that the police were informed on 24th July that a man had just been stabbed and was unresponsive on the floor in Marsa.
He also confirmed that Saeed was first apprehended by members of the public who witnessed the attack. He also said that the murder knife was found on Saaed.
In the video, Saeed can be seen being roughed around, physically detained and even chased down the Marsa streets, with one person even being heard repeatedly shouting, “You are not going anywhere”.
Saeed was eventually surrounded and blocked from escaping from a dead end near Triq Is-Sajjieda. By the end of the video, a number of Rapid Intervention Unit officers can be seen arresting the murder suspect.
Pawney said that the stabbing happened after an argument between the two men. However, no details were given on what the argument was about.
Saeed has pleaded not guilty. However, the court today ruled that there was enough evidence to issue a bill of indictment against Saeed.
