Naxxar and Mosta were hit by a power cut this afternoon, the same day Energy Minister Miriam Dalli promised that the situation has improved in those towns.

Enemalta is blaming the situation on a high-tension outage but has yet to provide any sort of public communication as to how long this latest power cut will take.

However, Enemalta’s live outage map shows that a sizeable chunk of the central area has been impacted, along with Gżira, San Ġwann, and Kappara.

Earlier today, Dalli said on Andrew Azzopardi’s RTK103 show that although Naxxar and Mosta experienced hours-long power cuts last summer, they aren’t experiencing them this year thanks to a multi-million upgrade of cable networks.

However, something has clearly gone wrong.
