New Rabat Primary School Inaugurated For Up To 400 Students
A new primary government school in Rabat, which caters for 400 students attend, was officially inaugurated by Prime Minister Robert Abela and Education Minister Clifton Grima today.
Besides all the regular educational facilities, the school also includes classrooms for art and music, a multi-sensory room for students with autism, an indoor gym and several digital resources.
“When it comes to the education sector, the government is guided by the principle that children should be creative and develop skills that make them unique, over and beyond basic education,” Abela said.
“Education is the foundation upon which our children can build their hopes and dreams and harvest the opportunities that Malta is offering.”
“We must keep on providing the best possible education so that everyone makes it. In an ever-changing world, I urge students to challenge the status quo and embrace new technologies so that they can start off strong and lead Malta into the future.”
Grima hailed the Rabat school as a “state-of-the-art” project and said the current level of government spending in the education sector is unprecedented.
