New Storm Set To Hit Malta Tomorrow – With Even More Rain Than This Weekend

Article Featured Image

Malta woke up to the sunny calm after the storm this morning… but it looks like even wetter weather is less than 24 hours away.

According to the latest update by Facebook forecasting page Aġġornament tat-Temp, today still holds a 45% chance of rain, but it’s tomorrow when another storm is set to hit the islands.

And while it won’t blast the islands with the same wind intensity as yesterday, it’s the rain we’re going to have to look out for this time.

“Another storm returns tomorrow which can give even more rain than the last one,” the page said. And that’s saying something, considering the islands were hit with “torrential rain” on Saturday which pushed the islands’ total rainfall to an average of over 200mm.

It looks like tomorrow’s storm will be triggered by a cold front passing over the islands in the morning, with the worst being expected to have passed us by 2pm.

But don’t expect the rain to disappear after then: the current forecast says we might still get wet right up to Wednesday morning.
