New Vincent Marmara Survey Set To Show Huge Lead For Robert Abela And Labour

Statistician Vincent Marmara’s latest political survey, which will be published in tomorrow’s edition of It-Torċa, is set to show that Prime Minister Robert Abela remains very much Malta’s most popular leader.

Lovin Malta is informed that Abela’s lead over Bernard Grech is expected to be very similar to that reflected by the recent MaltaToday survey, where he enjoyed a 19.2 point lead over the Opposition Leader.

However, unlike the MaltaToday survey, which had the PN up by around 5,000 votes, the It-Torċa survey forecasts the PL ahead by a huge margin, although significantly less than the 39,000 vote gap achieved at the 2022 general election.

While the PN might draw some small comfort from that finding, the persistently high gap between the political leaders – a historically accurate barometer to determine the electorate’s voting intentions – should come as a major cause for concern.

Over the past decade, the PN has had four leaders – Lawrence Gonzi, Simon Busuttil, Adrian Delia and Bernard Grech – and all have trailed badly behind the PL’s two leaders in that period, ie. Joseph Muscat and Robert Abela.

Who do you intend to vote for at the next general election?
