BREAKING: 12-Year-Old Missing Girl Found In Gozo
She was spotted on the morning ferry
Mia O'Connell, the 12-year-old girl who was reported missing, has been found in Gozo. After being missing for around than 20 hours, she was found on the sister island just moments ago.
A woman reached out to Lovin Malta saying that she might have seen the young girl on the 10:30am ferry to Gozo earlier this morning.
Now, Mia's father has verified that the young girl has been found in Gozo. She was found in good health and said to be in contact with her family.
Mia O’ Connell was reported missing yesterday at 6pm by her parents after she left their Swieqi house at 4:15pm to go to a rugby tournament. CCTV footage taken at the time recorded her rushing out wearing a white jumper and black trousers. A woman reported having seen her walking in Marsa at 8pm last night, but this was not verified by the police.
Another woman reached out to Lovin Malta saying that she spotted her on the 10:30am ferry headed to Gozo, and her father then confirmed that she has been “found in Gozo.” It seems that she is now reunited with her family and they are in contact with her. The Irish family moved to Malta in July after living in Gibraltar.
