A 19-year-old woman from Qrendi has died after she was involved in a tragic traffic accident in Marsa this morning.

Police said the young woman was driving her Paxster along Triq Ħal Qormi at around 8am when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle overturned, the woman was flung out into the road and the vehicle landed on her.

She was hospitalised for treatment but she succumbed to her injuries.
