20 People Treated After Fire In Gzira

Twenty people were treated by medical services after a fire broke out in an apartment block in Gzira last night.

Deputy Prime Minister Chris Fearne said 19 patients were treated for smoke inhalation and another person was taken to casualty at Mater Dei Hospital.

The incident happened in the early hours of the morning at Rue D’Argens, a road that cuts through Ta Xbiex and Gzira.

Fearne thanked Malta’s emergency medical services and the Civil Protection Department for their response.
