A date has reportedly been set for the arraignment of former Prime Minister Joseph Muscat, his chief of staff Keith Schembri, and former minister Konrad Mizzi… and it’s Tuesday 28th May.

As initially reported moments ago by Times Of Malta, magistrate Rachel Montebello set the date earlier today.

Muscat and his co-defendants will be charged with crimes in connection with the hospitals privatisation deal to appear in court.

A second tier of defendants facing lesser charges include Chris Fearne, who earlier today resigned as Deputy Prime Minister, and Central Bank Governor Edward Scicluna. However, the date for this group of defendants to appear in criminal court has not been announced yet.

This is a developing story.
