Five-Year Old Boy Among Eight People Hospitalised After Horrible Three-Car Crash In Burmarrad
There were shocking scenes in Burmarrad this morning as three cars were involved in a car accident at around 8:25am. All eight people have been hospitalised, with one of them being a five-year-old boy.
Two of the cars suffered extensive amounts of damage, with members of the Civil Department being called to help the people out of the wreckages.
The driver of the Toyota Starlet (a 27-year-old), the driver of the Peugeot 306 (a 39-year-old) and the two passengers onboard are all reported to have suffered serious injuries.
The other car, a Toyota Corolla, had four people onboard. Two of them are also reported to have suffered serious injuries, while the driver and the five-year-old boy onboard have reportedly sustained light injuries.
One News reported on the shocking scenes on Burmarrad Road this morning as shoes and clothes could be seen sprawled around the street. The impact also left one of the cars’ engines in the middle of the road.
Drivers are advised to avoid the area for now as the accident will no doubt lead to some traffic congestion. The road has also been closed following the incident.
