Malta’s musicians, vocalists and artists have been busy these last few weeks – and to make it easy for you, we’ve curated a roundup of the latest releases from artists across Malta that you need to listen to.
1. Gaia Cauchi
Singer-songwriter Gaia Cauchi has released a new tune “11:11” – the Ġieħ ir-Repubblika recipient has been working with writer and producer, Aleksi Liski.
2. Chris Birdd
Meanwhile award-winning hip-hop artist and rapper Chris Birdd has been creating tsunami-sized waves across the pond in Los Angeles.
Birdd has released ‘hittin different’, reaching number one on the iTunes charts eclipsing music luminaries such as Ben Howard, Avicci, will.i.am and Passenger.

3. Timea Farr
X Factor Malta semi-finalist, Timea Farr, aged 21, has released an absolute banger of a beat ‘good without me’. The strong, sultry vocals throughout this track will give you goosebumps and it’s catchy beat is a foot-tapper.
Timea worked with writers Chris Vella, Federica Giallombardo (aka Feds) and Matteo Depares.

4. Lisa Gauci
Lisa Gauci, X Factor finalist and runner-up has released her first original track since being on the hit TV show.
‘Lovers’ was written by Ivan Grech, Cyprian Cassar, Matt Muxu Mercieca and Lisa herself. The teenager’s vocals are reminiscent of Emelie Sandé’s early years.

5. DJ Mac feat. Goodtime Slim and D Legacy
Music producer, hip-hop DJ and scratching maestro, DJ Mac has released a new tune featuring Goodtime Slim and D Legacy (as part of Valhalla Music). Check out their GTA-esque music video below…
