Malta Independent Drops 17 Black Bomb Just Before Xarabank Debate
Independent.com.mt crashed this evening under heavy traffic soon after it published a big exclusive story about 17 Black, a company first mentioned cryptically by blogger Daphne Caruana Galizia some months ago.
According to the Malta Independent, 17 Black is a company registered in Dubai which was allegedly used to transfer money to former Energy Minister Konrad Mizzi and the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff Keith Schembri, through their companies in Panama. Malta Independent quotes a 120-page investigative report by the Financial Analysis Intelligence Unit (FIAU).
The story was published an hour before a TV debate scheduled to take place tonight on Xarabank between Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and Opposition leader Simon Busuttil.
