A 60-year-old man has died after falling down a flight of steps following an argument at a bar in St Paul’s Bay in the early hours of the morning.

In a statement, the police said they were informed at around 1:30am this morning that their assistance was required at Triq it-Turisti, St Paul’s Bay.

When they arrived on site, they found out that a 60-year-old St Paul’s Bay resident had been hospitalised with serious injuries, which he succumbed to shortly afterwards.

Police said that initial investigations show the man was involved in an argument at a bar in that street and consequently fell down the stairs.

“The police are interrogating a person to help in it’s investigations and are currently treating the case as a homicide,” the statement concludes.
