The bodies of a mother and daughter who had been missing since Tuesday have been found in the limits of Santa Lucija and Gudja in what police are suspecting is a double homicide, MaltaToday is reporting.

Police sources confirmed with MaltaToday that the bodies of Marija Lourdes Bonnici and her daughter Angele Bonnici have been found and that a son of one of the two women has been apprehended.

The mother and daughter were last seen at their home in Għaxaq on Tuesday 26 March at 7am. They were reported missing on Wednesday afternoon.
