‘Operations Back To Normal In An Hour’: Minister Of Gozo Hopeful That Services Will Resume Soon Enough
Minister of Gozo, Clint Camilleri has eased everyone’s worries in relation to the most recent Gozo Channel bomb threats by stating that operations are to return to normal soon.
The Minister said on Facebook that in light of the ongoing investigation and the findings, or lack thereof, he predicts that routines will return to normal in the coming hour.
“The Gozo Channel will be doing its utmost in order for everyone to arrive at their destination as soon as possible,” the post ended.
In the leadup to the update, Teatru Astra, at which a second performance of the opera Giovanna d’Arco was scheduled, announced a one hour postponement of the event due to the ongoings. In a post on the threatre’s social media, it also stated it’s been “reassured by the Gozo Channel and the Gozo Ministry that immediate extra trips will be introduced as soon as the port is cleared for travel.”
Many residents and commuters have once again voiced their frustration at the second instance of the incident, with many also claiming it to be a deliberate hoax or prank.
However, for the time being, it seems like everyone can breathe a sigh of relief with normality within arms reach.
