Two People Killed And Others Injured In Horrific Traffic Accident By Mġarr Roundabout

Two people killed after two cars collide into each other by Mġarr- Mosta roundabout

Two people have been killed and a number of people believed to be injured in a traffic accident by the roundabout connecting Mġarr and Mosta.

According to people on the scene who spoke to The Times of Malta, two cars had crashed into each other, with one ending up in a ditch and on a centre strip.

It is reportedly the same ditch that a Ferrari crashed into yesterday morning. Road widening works are currently underway in that street.

In a statement, Mater Dei urged the public to avoid attending the A&E department unnecessarily and to cooperate with ambulances and major incident units on the road. Health Minister Chris Fearne also tweeted about the incident.

This is the second fatal traffic accident this weekend, after a young German woman was killed in a motorbike accident near the Addolorata cemetery last night.
