Ahead Of Sudden Operation, PN MP Janice Chetcuti Urges People To Enjoy Life As Much As Possible
While awaiting an operation that she had no idea she would need a few days ago, PN MP Janice Chetcuti posted a mindful reflection about life and how quickly it can change.
“I have been in hospital for five days now,” Chetcuti said. “It’s almost unbelievable how a simple flu can develop into an acute chest infection, with water gathering in my lungs, and that an operation is now necessary to stop my lungs from losing part of their functions.”
“Last week I was at the beach with my children after a good workout session at the gym… now I’m waiting to be taken to the operating theatre.”
“Life can change in a flash, which is why I have always believed that you should smile, be nice to others, have fun, don’t hurt anyone, and have even more fun…have as much fun as possible. Life is a beautiful journey that we shouldn’t waste.”
She had words of praise for the Mater Dei medical team who have treated her so far, describing the work they do as “exceptional”, and encouraged people to keep her in their prayers ahead of her operation.
We wish Janice Chetcuti the best of luck ahead of her operation
