‘Awguri Papà’: Eddie Fenech Adami Celebrates 90th Birthday Today
Malta’s former President and Prime Minister Eddie Fenech Adami is celebrating his 90th birthday today.
Fenech Adami was Malta’s seventh president, serving the country between 2004 and 2009. However, before that, he served two terms as the Prime Minister of Malta between 1987 and 1996 and then again from 1998 until 2004.
Today, he’s celebrating his special day surrounded by loved ones, including his son who followed in his political footsteps, Nationalist MP Beppe Fenech Adami.
“To serve our country, that’s all he wanted. Today we celebrate your 90th year. Happy birthday, dad,” Fenech Adami wrote on social media.
PN MP Graziella Galea also posted a tribute to Malta’s former leader earlier this morning.
“Today is the birthday of Eddie Fenech Adami, statesman, and visionary with a clear vision that is still relevant today. Eddie brought me to politics, and he always stayed close to our family.
