The daughter and son of a Maltese woman who suddenly lost her life in a restaurant in Italy, making the Italian news, have taken to Facebook to express their shock and sadness.

“I have no words,” Anna Pace’s son said. “The soldier of a mother I have has just passed away. Nothing can explain the love I had for my mother. Throughout the hard times, I always had her. But God thought it was her time. No one can change that.”

“No matter what happened she loved everyone equally… and I don’t feel left out one bit,” he continued. “I know now that I can go on knowing that my mother is in eternal peace and that I will always have the best guardian angel following me around.”

In a similarly powerful post, her daughter also opened her heart after the sudden passing of her mother.

“The one post I never thought I will ever post,” she began.

“Mummy has passed away peacefully last night while dancing the night away in Italy. Our lives will never be the same and she will be missed sorely. I love you with all my heart. Please take care of me, Owen, Daddy, your family and everyone who ever knew you! You were respected and loved by many,” she ended.

The 58-year-old Swieqi resident died while dining and dancing the night away at a restaurant in the Italian village of Ortezzano last night. She was on holiday with her husband, sister, as well as some other Maltese people on tour of the Le Marche area.

At around 9:30pm, Anna reportedly moved back before collapsing. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Her body was taken to a hospital in Fermo, and is to be brought to Malta shortly.

RIP Anna
