Rosianne Cutajar, Maxine Pace, Roberta Metsola, and Sarah Zerafa

Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper: Shallow

Chris Fearne

Snow Patrol: Don’t Give In

“I have been a fan of Snow Patrol from the beginning. I think that this year’s ‘Don’t Give In’ ranks up there with ‘Chasing Cars'”

Miriam Dalli

Sia & David Guetta: Flames

Roberta Metsola

Baby Shark, Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper, Childish Gambino

“Sadly, Baby Shark is still the most played at our home, but Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper’s Shallow or This Is America by Childish Gambino got their fair share of airtime.”

David Casa

Aretha Franklin: Respect

“Even though this did not come out this year, her death gave life again to the queen of soul.”

Ira Losco

Halsey: Without Me

Cyrus Engerer

George Ezra: Shotgun

“It’s one of those songs that you have to move to, as it’s played on the radio. I’m not sure about its lyrics (in fact, I don’t really remember them), but it has a catchy tune and puts a smile on my face as I listen to it… “I’ll be riding shotgun, lalalalala”

Joseph Muscat

George Ezra: Pretty Shining People

Adrian Delia

Martin Garrix feat. Bonn: High On Life

Francis Zammit Dimech

Placido Domingo

“Over the past year, I had the opportunity to follow a concert by Placido Domingo who came over to an event at the European Parliament to lobby in favour of artists’ rights. He interpreted such classics as ‘Nessun Dorma’ from the Opera ‘Turandot’. Hardly a new release, but it remains one of my favourites for all time and listening to Placido’s interpretation re-affirmed my love for the song. That is apart from relating to the main theme in that song: ‘Vincero’’!”

Ian Borg

Camille Cebello feat. Young Thug: Havana

Alex Alden

Punch Brothers

“The
new album of the Punch Brothers is beautiful.”

Grandayy

The Living Tombstone: No Mercy

Jo Caruana

Mean Girls: Where Do You Belong?

“From the new Broadway musical Mean Girls.”

Valentina Rossi

Cardi B: I Like It

Eve Borg Bonello

Mac Demarco, The 1975

“This year was the year I discovered Mac Demarco, I love ‘My Kind Of Woman’ although it’s not my favourite song by him, it’s the song that introduced me.

And since I’m super indecisive I’d have to say love it if we made it by The 1975 as well, every lyric was a mini-revolution.”

Chris Cardona

Florence and the Machine: Hunger

Gaia Cauchi

Benny Blanco, Khalid, Halsey: Eastside

Ben Camille

The Greatest Showman: This is Me

Michela Pace

Ava Max: Sweet but Psycho
