Many Maltese people’s Facebook feeds are currently in mourning after the heartbreaking news of the death of a 22-year-old islander in Berlin.
Nicklau Attard, a young Maltese socialite and fashionista, had moved to the German capital back in late 2016. Affectionately known by some of his friends as the “Glitter Prince”, Nick was also an aspiring fashion designer who had released some custom clothing under the name No2Authority.
By Thursday morning, friends and family of Nicklau Attard flooded Facebook with tributes, lamenting his untimely death. “Maybe it’s your time, but you sure did catch us off guard with this one,” one comment read. “I’ll never believe it’s too late that you’ll know how many people love you. I hope you realise that. Now, go and get them.”
“We will all miss you so much,” another commented. “I hope there is some way you can know that,” while one family member heartbreakingly added, “I couldn’t help you the way you always helped me.”
“His pure and beautiful soul will be with us always,” people agreed, bidding farewell to the beloved young man.
