‘It’s Not Easy Without You, Jake’: Mariska Vella Wishes Husband A Happy Birthday In Heartfelt Post
Mariska Vella wished her husband, Josie, a happy birthday in a heartfelt post, thanking him for his support during tough times and drawing inspiration from their son Jake Vella’s remarkable strength.
“Happy birthday, Josie. I know this year is different, but we need to make life beautiful. It’s not easy without you, Jake, but now we need to follow the example you set for us and be courageous and positive,” Mariska wrote on Facebook.
She went on to thank her husband for always being a rock for both her and Jake, even through the difficult times.
“Thank you for the support you always showed us. We love you.”
Jake, unfortunately, passed away at 15 years old on 30th August after years of battling an extremely rare condition. The young athlete created a legacy in Malta through his sheer resilience, participating in numerous athletic events and often raising money for animals while doing so.
His parents were always there, supporting and rooting for Jake and as a triathlete, there’s no doubt that Josie played a huge part in his son’s athletic journey. Just two days ago, his mother won Mvintage’s Woman of the Year award, which stands as a testament to her unwavering love and strength.
Mariska’s post to Josie serves as a reminder of the powerful bond within the family, a bond that lives on through the married couple.
