Marsaskala ‘Pay It Forward’ Café Launches Christmas Project To Help Families In Need
Marsaskala café Jacob’s Brew has been driving home the idea of paying it forward for a while now and it’s driving the point even harder this Christmas by inviting the public to take part in its latest initiative.
The reverse advent calendar will let you put the spirit of giving back into Christmas by giving back to those who aren’t as lucky as we are.
Writing on its Facebook page yesterday, the coffee house said:
“As we are an official drop off site for Foodbank Lifeline Foundation, this Christmas season we have decided to implement a reverse advent calendar food drive at the shop to help families in need.”
What they’re asking us to do is collect one food item a day for 25 days, drop the hamper off at their café in Marsaskala and leave the rest up to them. Hey, you could even grab a coffee while you’re there and pay one forward for another patron.
In return, Jacob’s Brew will hand over five raffle tickets, giving you a chance to win vouchers for either a High Tea or English Breakfast for two, when they draw the raffle on Boxing Day.
There’s a total of ten vouchers available so if you fancy entering the New Year in high-class fashion then get filling with those boxes and get on down to Jacob’s Brew.
