Jake Vella Honoured By Malta Public Transport With Bus Tribute
Jake Vella was honoured by the Malta Public Transport with a tribute bus featuring an iconic image of the young athlete who passed away on 30th August.
“Thank you Malta Public Transport for this amazing surprise. In memory of my son Jake Vella,” Jake’s father, Josie, wrote on social media.
Jake lived with ROHHAD-NET – an extremely rare disease – until the age of 15 and he dedicated his life to breaking boundaries for charity.
Jake was an inspiration to all of Malta, and this was clear when hundreds of people gathered to celebrate his life over the weekend.
The young boy was met with heartfelt applause as his casket was carried out of the church and a K9 from Corradino Correctional Facility together with its handler offered a final salute.
Rest in peace, Jake
