Joe Biden Surprises Giorgia Mae Abela With A FaceTime Call During EU-NATO Dinner
US President Joe Biden found some time to speak to Giorgia Mae Abela, daughter of Malta’s Prime Minister Robert Abela, at the margins of a high-profile dinner.
On Instagram, Abela shared the moment he and his wife Lydia called their daughter on FaceTime and surprised her by moving the camera to the face of a smiling Joe Biden.
Biden and Abela visited Madrid this week to attend the Euro Atlantic dinner, a meeting of all EU and NATO leaders to discuss the war in Ukraine.

NATO leaders are currently taking part in a summit, during which they have branded Russia “the most significant and direct threat to Allies’ security and to peace and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area”.
During the summit, NATO approved the membership of Finland and Sweden, who abandoned decades of non-alignment to join the military alliance shortly after Russia invaded Ukraine.
NATO secretary-general Jens Stoltenberg hailed their decision and said Russian President Vladimir Putin failed in his goal of preventing the military alliance from adding new members.
