Joseph Muscat Is Growing A Beard But It’s Not A Fashion Statement

Article Featured Image

Malta’s Prime Minister Joseph Muscat was spotted donning a beard (well, stubble) at a recent political event. But he’s not looking to make any fashion statement, he’s actually taking part in this year’s Movember campaign.

Often an excuse for men to find out for themselves what they’d look like with a moustache. Movember looks to raise awareness on men’s issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men’s suicide.

For the first time, this year’s local Movember campaign is being spearheaded by the Marigold Foundation, which is chaired by Joseph Muscat’s wife Michelle Muscat.

Marigold launched its Movember campaign concurrently with its Pink October campaign, which seeks to raise awareness for breast cancer, on 1st October and the campaign will run till the end of November.

Even if you don’t take part, you can still donate to the charity over here, while also enjoying watching Muscat’s beard grow over the next few weeks!
