Stuck in quarantine with young children and not sure what to do? Fret not – the Malta Girl Guides have come up with a fun challenge you can do indoors that your kids will love.

The girl guides launched the challenge to help children and people of all ages beat the boredom of staying indoors during these difficult times. Using the hashtag #mggquarantinechallenge, a challenge will be launched every two days via MGG’s Facebook page.

All you need to do is accept the challenge, and share your work online via their page using the hashtags #mggquarantinechallenge and #beattheboredom.

In less than 24 hours, participants from all over Malta and Gozo, as well as the USA, Sweden, the UK and Australia all joined in the fun.

Over 700 people have already filled in the form to participate, with the first challenge (creating a model of the coronavirus) was launching yesterday, Sunday 15th March 2020.

None of these challenges require anyone to leave the home so they are perfectly timed for Malta as it enters partial lockdown following the outbreak of the coronavirus.

Parents or guardians with children who are not yet on social media can share the challenges from their own profile on Facebook or Instagram.

Best of all, everyone who participates will be in with a chance to earn their very own special #mggquarantinechallenge badge for taking part, which, the association said: “will serve as a lifetime memory of the time the world united in the battle against this virus.”

The Malta Girl Guides are the largest Association for girls, young women and women in Malta and Gozo, with members joining from as young as 5 years of age and forming lifelong bonds.

Tag someone who is going to accept the challenge!
