Bettoni will co-host the show alongside Brandon Terribile and together, they’ll go behind the scenes of various foreign and local films, as well as TV shows, programmes and newsrooms.

They will be trying their hands at a number of different roles in the industry.

“Being the first person with Down’s Syndrome is a major step forward on representation in the media,” Bettoni said in an interview with Keith Demicoli on TVAM.

“It’s a huge start for Malta – it gives people in the Down’s Syndrome community a sense of belonging to see a person like them on TV.”

Bettoni is a 20-year-old accomplished writer with four self-published books. She’s also a performer who advocates for more inclusion in the performing arts industry on the island.

In fact, last year on World Down Syndrome Day she spread that very message of inclusion through poetry and a dance performance.

This isn’t the first time Terribile produced an inclusive show for children. Last year he worked on a superhero series entitled Avarù which included sensory elements, subtitles and sign language interpreters.

Well done Angela, we wish you the best of luck!
