Maltese DJ Releases Song About Island’s Traffic While Stuck On Regional Road
Imagine driving through Regional Road, getting stuck in traffic, and potentially conjuring up a hit song.
They say write what you know and a certain DJ, Gorg Borg, did just that, having just released his first-ever single titled “Regional Road”.
About five days ago, the masked DJ posted a TikTok explaining that that very morning, he was stuck in traffic and decided to write a song about the persistent problem plaguing Malta’s roads.
“Standstill in the Regional Road, feeling so confined. Marsa, Hamrun, all roads seem to combine. Road closures ahead, detour signs everywhere – no escape from the chaos, can’t catch a breath of air. Traffic accidents adding to the crowded streets,” the lyrics read.
“1,000 likes and I’ll release it on Spotify,” the DJ said, along with the song.
Two days and a 1,000 likes later, Borg released the full song on Spotify as promised, naming it “Regional Road”.
The original TikTok teasing the song now has over 36,000 views and 2,000 likes.
