Maltese superstar tenor Joseph Calleja has filmed himself giving the finger to Parkinson’s to help encourage a man from Malta who is putting on a brave fight against his illness.

Andrew Falzon has been living with Parkinson’s Disease for more than 15 years and has undergone a number of medical interventions including brain surgery. He often opens up online about how his condition often leaves him depressed and weak. But lately he has begun filming himself doing seemingly impossible tasks, including a nunchaku routine, yoga moves and using a skipping rope.

Calleja stopped midway a performance of Tosca in Surrey to encourage the young man and celebrate his impressive achievements.

“This video is about a guy from Malta called Andrew Falzon who is literally giving the finger to Parkinson’s,” Calleja said, before opening up about his own family members who suffered from the awful disease.
