Sealed With A Kiss! Labour MEP Candidate And Ħaż-Żebbuġ Mayor Tie The Knot
Labour MEP candidate Alex Saliba and Ħaż-Żebbuġ mayor Sarah Agius get married
Labour MEP candidate Alex Saliba married his longtime girlfriend, Ħaż-Żebbuġ mayor Sarah Agius, yesterday.
The couple organised a lavish ceremony at the Casino Maltese in Valletta that was attended by a number of well-known faces, including Transport Minister Ian Borg and Labour MP Robert Abela.
The newlyweds clearly enjoyed their big night
Instead of the bride adopting her husband’s surname, the newlyweds decided to merge their surnames together to become Alex and Sarah Agius Saliba. This move could help both of them benefit from the infamous ‘donkey vote’, whereby people vote for candidates based on the order they appear on the ballot sheet.

Alex Agius Saliba is best known for his tenure as president of the Labour Party’s youth wing (FZL) during which he revamped it into a social media savvy branch capable of mobilising several youths.
He will contest the European Parliament elections for the first time next May in an election that the Labour Party is expected to win by a comfortable margin.
