A powerful new initiative is taking shape in the heart of São Paulo and it’s all about giving at-risk youth a fighting chance at a better future.

The SiGMA Foundation has just inaugurated a brand new Youth Empowerment Sports School, designed to transform the lives of troubled youth and former offenders through combat sports, education, and discipline.

Centurion CEO Roberto Gallo, who will lead the centre, described it as a space built to “transform lives,” helping young people channel anger and negative energy into focus and purpose. But it’s about much more than physical training.

The school, located within walking distance of a local favela, is accessible to children with limited opportunities. Alongside boxing, Muay Thai, jiu-jitsu and MMA training, the centre also teaches English and essential digital skills, including personal branding and social media, to help students build a career path beyond the ring.

The goal of SiGMA Foundation is to take street children, reshape them into students and elevate them beyond the streets.

For Gallo, this project is personal. He had his first MMA fight in Malta back in 2017 and now, as he prepares for his 26th fight, he’s using his platform to give back in the most meaningful way possible.

This isn’t just about sport. It’s about building discipline, community, and a real chance at transformation.
