Miguel Mifsud just completed an ultra-running challenge that’s left us all seriously inspired.

Known as The Sober Runner, the 45-year-old recovering drug addict turned ultra-runner ran a mind-blowing 160km, that’s 100 miles, around the track at the Mediterranean College of Sport in Birkirkara, all in aid of Caritas Malta.

Miguel kicked off the challenge at 11am on Saturday, circling the 400m track repeatedly, aiming to complete the distance in 24 hours.

But by 9.15am Sunday, he had already hit the finish line, nearly two hours ahead of schedule.

Surrounded by family, friends, and fellow runners, Miguel crossed the finish line with cheers, proving once again that transformation is possible with purpose, community and pure resilience.

This isn’t Miguel’s first time pushing his limits, last year he completed a 100km coastal run around Malta for Caritas, finishing in just over 11 hours.

Well done Miguel!
