A vigil is to be held tonight to show support for the family of Daphne Caruana Galizia as news of her assassination spreads across social media.

Malta is shocked by the assassination of one of the most famous bloggers on the island. Caruana Galizia was internationally known for her scoops and investigative journalism.

The vigil will be held tonight in Sliema at 8:30pm.

The first of the international vigils will be occurring tonight in London.
