There were heartwarming scenes outside Parliament last night after Adrian Delia’s father embraced his son right before a protest.

As protestors gathered behind metal barriers that had been erected to block them from MPs, a proud Andrew Delia waited outside Parliament’s doors to greet his son.

When Delia emerged to meet his supporters, his dad was the first to greet him, embracing his son tightly. Opposition Leader Bernard Grech also joined in the hug, with the three men posing for photos afterward.

Speaking to Lovin Malta, Andrew Delia expressed the pride he felt at his son for his five-year court battle against powerful forces which culminated in the annulment of the Vitals-Steward hospital contract last weekend.

It was a glorious evening for Adrian Delia, who delivered an impassioned speech in front of a crowd of protestors, warning them that the contract was robbing the people of Malta blind.

“What does fraud mean? It means stealing something from someone. And who got robbed? The party? The other party? The government? No, you got robbed,” he said as the crowd cheered.
