Watch: Go Neil! Agius About To Break His Own World Record As Winds Pick Up At Żonqor Point
Neil Agius has started the final stretch of his Big Swim… and a couple of kilometres ahead of him lies his very own world record.
In less than 4 kilometres’ time, Neil will hit 125.71 kilometres, which is the record he had set back in June 2021 when he swam non-stop for 52 hours between Linosa to Xlendi, Gozo.
This time round, Neil is just past Żonqor Point in Marsaskala, and despite the 15 knots of solid winds against him, the arrival of rain and big waves that are constantly coming at him, he looks all set to break his own world record

But that’s just the beginning of today’s record-breaking news for Neil, as the former Olympian will now be dead set on going the distance, eventually hitting 158 kilometres.
