Watch: ‘I Feel Blessed’: Malta Raises €8,000 In Days To Help Padel Coach
Hugo Ignacio Flora, an Argentinian padel coach, thanked the people of Malta for raising €8,000 to fund his emergency operation.
Hugo, an IK Padel coach at Luxol, was rushed to hospital after suddenly fainting during a lesson. An online fundraiser was launched to raise €8,000 to cover his hospital costs, and the amount was collected within just a few days.
“It was a tough situation and I was far away from my family, but thank you for all your help,” Hugo said.
“I didn’t expect it. I am new in Malta, I know a few people here but I received support from so many people who I don’t know.”
“It’s amazing for me. Thank you for your messages and your funds and for visiting me at home. I am very happy to be part of this community and I feel blessed right now.”
