Lands Minister Stefan Zrinzo Azzopardi was filmed letting his hair down and dancing at the St Patrick’s Day street party in St Julian’s yesterday.

Zrinzo Azzopardi’s son DJ Zrinz performed at the Tigullio party and his father was there to show his support. A video posted publicly on Facebook shows the minister dancing to the music atop a staircase.

It was only a few days after government MPs shot down an Opposition motion that called for the resignation of Zrinzo Azzopardi, along with Economy Minister Silvio Schembri and Environment Minister Miriam Dalli.

The Opposition demanded that the three ministers shoulder political responsibility over institutional failures in the regulation of the construction industry that emerged from a public inquiry into the death of Jean Paul Sofia.

Zrinzo Azzopardi was in charge of both the Building and Construction Authority and OHSA at the time of Sofia’s death.

However, the government amended the Opposition’s motion to remove all references to political responsibility.
