A young Maltese woman who exposed animal abuse during a Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq circus act has been left heartbroken and in tears after discovering that the duck has been returned to its original owner – and how now pledged to testify in court against the alleged abuser.

Following Lovin Malta’s initial reveal of the live act, it has since been revealed that Animal Welfare has returned the duck in question to its original owner – leaving Sarah Grech absolutely furious.

‘‘All these articles, shares, posts, messages, comments just for the duck to be sent back to its abuser,” she said today.

Sarah, who has over 6,000 followers, took to her Instagram account to voice her sheer rage over the situation.

‘‘I’m testifying in court against the abuser, but what’s the point if the duck will probably be dead till then?’’

In tears, Sarah explained to Lovin Malta that though she tried to raise the alarm, the duck still ended up going back to where it was allegedly abused.
